Allow me to greet you and welcome you most cordially on behalf of the organisers at the next year of Slovakia Open Tournament in table tennis. This tournament has rich history, writing the new chapter this year, because it is the first time in the history, when the organisation is moved into the capital of Slovakia - Bratislava. The Winter Stadium of Ondrej Nepela, welcomed the participants of world ice hockey championship last year, and this reconstructed stadium offers great conditions to play and technical background for organising international events. Therefore it is our ambition for the future, to aspire to organise the Europe championships and world championships in table tennis of handicapped sportsmen. This year´s event is extraordinary also because of its date; it is taking place at the time when only 100 days remain till the opening of the PG in London. Therefore, one of the main objectives of the organisers was to create the conditions as identical as possible, with the conditions which we might expect during the Paralympics games in London.

I wish you would feel great in Slovakia, have the chance to see the beauties of the capital, and to gather as many experience as possible on the way to Paralympics victories.
